HOW TO AVOID AND DETER BULLYING
Don't Let Bullying Turn You Upside Down!
First Note: If you ever encounter harassment or bullying, first see your parents or a responsible adult for help! The Eagle Young Marines Adult Staff has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying and will gladly offer support to all Young Marines.
Don't be a part of the problem
Eighty to 90 percent of students say that watching bullying makes them uncomfortable. Only one student in four tries to help the youth being bullied.
Since the bully needs an adult audience, watching is almost as bad as joining in. If you see a bullying incident, walk away and find an adult to break it up. By doing this - it does NOT make you a snitch or tattle tale. Caring enough to look out for someone else takes courage and it is the right thing to do.
